Vivo has verified to Newturn that the Y53 will be released in India on Monday, August 9. Last month, the Vivo smartphone made its debut in Vietnam. It has a waterdrop-style display notch and triple rear cameras, among other things. A 64-megapixel primary camera and 128GB of inbuilt storage are also included on the Vivo Y53s. Vivo has a 5G variation of the Y53s in addition to the base model, but the company is not likely to introduce it in India at this time, opting instead for the 4G alternative.
Vivo India announced the Vivo Y53s’ debut date to Newturn on Friday. Moneycontrol first reported it, citing anonymous sources.

While no official information has been released, the Vivo Y53 is said to be priced at Rs. 22,990 (Rs. 19,490 MOP) in India for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. Deep Sea Blue and Fantastic Rainbow are also rumored to be color options for the smartphone.
In Vietnam, the Vivo Y53s was priced at VND 6,990,000 (approximately Rs. 22,500) for the same 6GB + 128GB configuration.
Specifications of the Vivo Y53s
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y53s runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 and has a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio, according to information released at the time of its Vietnam debut. The phone is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor and 8GB of RAM. It has a triple back camera arrangement that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
On the front, the Vivo Y53s boasts a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor. It also comes with 128GB of onboard storage and a USB Type-C port, as well as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C connection. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The Y53s comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The phone is 190 grams in weight.
