Neeraj Chopra won the Olympic Gold Medal: A complete list of cash awards given to the historian

People from all walks of life praised Neeraj Chopra, who created history by becoming the first Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics.

On Saturday, Neeraj Chopra made history by becoming the first Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics. People from many walks of life praised Neeraj Chopra, and some organizations even announced monetary prizes for the Javelin thrower’s performance.

Neeraj Chopra, a Haryana native who earned the second individual gold medal at the Olympics and the first in athletics, won it with an 87.58-meter throw on his second attempt.

The Haryana government has offered a financial incentive of Rs 6 crore for Neeraj Chopra’s spectacular victory and honor, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has stated that he will be named the director of the forthcoming Centre for Excellence in Athletics in Panchkula. While the Punjab government declared a Rs 2 crore cash bounty for the 23-year-old, who has Punjabi ancestors.

Neeraj Chopra, an Indian Army soldier, was originally interested in cricket, but was motivated to take up the sport after observing people hurl the javelin in Haryana in 2011.

The BCCI, India’s cricket governing body, has offered a financial prize of Rs 1 crore for Neeraj Chopra, while IPL club Chennai Super Kings has also announced a cash prize of Rs 1 crore for the gold medalist.

The Manipur government has also offered the 23-year-old a financial prize of Rs 1 crore.
